It involved individuals walking on the streets while holding placards that read\, \nOn December 25th\, 2022\, Karttavyaa had the privilege of participating in an event organized by “Apni Roti\,” a commendable initiative aimed at providing food to every person in need. During this event\, Karttavyaa had a wonderful opportunity to interact with the little children from underprivileged backgrounds. The experience was profoundly impactful\, allowing our team members to cultivate empathy and reflect on the importance of spreading joy and happiness in the lives of these young ones. \nThe Karttavyaa team wholeheartedly embraced the spirit of Christmas\, assuming the roles of Santa Claus for these delightful children. With hearts filled with warmth and a genuine desire to make a difference\, we all prepared surprises\, gifts\, and activities that would bring smiles to their faces and create lasting memories. \nThe event was meticulously planned\, ensuring that every child felt special and cherished. Our volunteers engaged in various interactive sessions\, including storytelling\, art and craft activities\, games\, and singing carols together. Through these activities\, we aimed to foster a sense of belonging\, encourage creativity\, and provide a nurturing environment where the children could express themselves freely. \nThe joy and excitement radiating from the children were simply contagious. Witnessing their innocent laughter and wide-eyed enthusiasm reminded us of the significance of our work in promoting mental health and well-being. It reinforced our belief that a little act of kindness and compassion can have a profound impact on the lives of others. \nAs a mental health and well-being organization\, we recognize the disconnectedness of physical\, emotional\, and social well-being. This event allowed us to connect with the children and their families\, sharing valuable insights and resources on maintaining a healthy mindset and addressing mental health challenges. \nThe experience left an indelible mark on our team members\, reminding us of the power we hold to bring about positive change. We are deeply grateful to “Apni Roti” for providing us with this platform to serve the community and contribute to a cause that aligns with our values and mission.

Urja event features a mega blood donation drive and this time it symbolized the connection between physical health and mental wellness. Participants from various backgrounds also came together to donate blood. \nUrja created a compassionate and supportive environment\, encouraging individuals to seek help and break the stigma around mental health. It left attendees inspired and equipped with tools to prioritize their well-being and advocate for mental health within their communities. \nArtists from diverse backgrounds came together to use their talents in dance\, music\, and acting to spread a powerful message of mental health awareness. The event showcased captivating performances and sheer talent that touched the hearts and minds of the audience\, weaving together emotions and stories related to mental health challenges. Through the universal language of art\, the performers conveyed the struggles\, resilience\, and triumphs of individuals navigating their mental well-being. \nDancers expressed the complexities of emotions through graceful movements\, creating visual narratives that resonated with the audience. Musicians evoked deep emotions with their melodies\, reflecting the highs and lows of the human experience. Actors brought stories to life\, shedding light on the realities of mental health and inspiring empathy and understanding. \nUrja is a platform where artists could merge their creative talents with a social cause\, harnessing the power of their craft to dismantle stigma and promote mental health awareness. People from diverse backgrounds\, with unique life experiences and challenges\, come together\, reinforcing our belief in the necessity of discussions on mental health. It is both motivating and thrilling for us to contribute and add value to the community. \n\n

Fueled by newfound confidence\, our dedicated volunteers attracted a multitude of people who approached us\, eager to engage in heartfelt conversations. \nConversations transcended superficiality\, and delved into the depths of human experiences. Listening became an act of empathy\, as we validated the emotions and narratives shared with us. In those connections\, strangers transformed into friends\, and we discovered the common thread of our shared humanity. Each encounter became an opportunity for growth\, shattering stereotypes and deepening our understanding of the world. \nThis event not only touched the lives of those we encountered but also instilled newfound confidence in our volunteer team. Witnessing the transformative power of active listening\, we realized the positive change we could bring to the world. Our belief in the value of empathy soared\, inspiring us to embrace meaningful dialogues and actively listen to others. \nThe conversations sparked continued to resonate\, inspiring others to engage in genuine connections and embrace the stories of strangers. Our inaugural event might have been a bit messy and we had our own set of challenges\, but we are proud to have taken the first step towards mental health awareness. \nAs with any new endeavor\, challenges and unforeseen obstacles arose\, resulting in a few bumps along the way. However\, we wholeheartedly embraced these learning opportunities\, recognizing that they would shape our growth and future endeavors. \nThrough few engaging conversations and spreading awareness\, we had the opportunity to connect with people during our event. The volunteers themselves experienced personal growth and learning on the first day\, which paved the way for successful subsequent events. \nBuilding on this foundation\, we were able to create impactful and transformative experiences for both the participants and the community as a whole.
