What is Feminine Energy And What if it Disappears…

The Alarming Effect on Society If Feminine Energy Disappears:

What if one morning, you woke up to a world that felt completely off? The air smells like tension, the sound of sirens pierces the silence, and everywhere you look, chaos reigns. Buildings are crumbling, people are shouting over each other, and there’s an eerie sense of fear hanging in the air. There’s no laughter, no kindness—just raw survival. You feel an overwhelming emptiness, as if something vital is missing.

Yeah, that’s a world where the feminine energy doesn’t exist anymore. But thankfully, we haven’t lost it yet—and that’s why understanding and embracing feminine energy is so important, now more than ever.

What Feminine Energy Actually Is?

Feminine energy is that quiet strength that allows you to be still, to be present, and to find peace in the moment. It’s the gentle wisdom that tells you forgiveness can feel more powerful than revenge, that enjoying your current journey can be more fulfilling than constantly chasing the next goal.

Yet, in today’s hustle culture, everyone is losing touch with their feminine energy. They are getting swept away by society’s relentless push.

As Marianne Williamson insightfully observed, “The feminine is not a given; it is an emergent force that must be nurtured.” Forget about men—women, too, are being pulled away from this beautiful force that makes life feel rich and meaningful.

Why Feminine Energy is Vital in Today’s World:

One thing I’ve noticed is just how misunderstood the concept of feminine energy really is. Many people think it’s something exclusive to women, especially cisgender females, but that is far away from the truth. Feminine energy exists in every single person, regardless of gender. It’s the yin to the masculine yang—a vital force that helps you appreciate life’s beauty, brings emotional intelligence, and fosters empathy.

It’s scary, isn’t it? How we are living in a time when feminine energy, once so cherished, is fading. And while some might be quick to blame women for stepping away from it, they’re often doing it for survival.

The world has been targeting and suppressing feminine energy for so long, it’s no wonder it feels like a fragile bud trying to bloom in a hostile environment. Catcalling and lewd comments in public spaces are often seen as everyday occurrences rather than serious issues. Women frequently experience harassment on the streets, in public transport, or even in workplaces, and these behaviors are often dismissed or trivialized as part of “normal” male behavior.

But feminine energy needs care, protection, and an immense amount of courage to keep that softness intact when everything around you seems to value power and aggression.

Research sheds light on why this loss is so significant. A study in the Journal of Applied Psychology reveals how female leaders, with their high emotional intelligence, positively impact employees’ emotional well-being and job satisfaction. They create a supportive atmosphere that helps individuals feel understood and valued. As Malala Yousafzai stated, “We cannot all succeed when half of us are held back.”

What Society Must Do to Nurture Feminine Energy

As a society, there are critical steps we can take to bring back feminine energy and strike a healthy balance between masculine and feminine forces.

1. Acknowledging Where We Stand

The first and most important step is changing how we perceive ourselves and the current state of the world. If we don’t take a hard look at where we’re falling short, nothing will change. It’s easy to turn a blind eye to uncomfortable truths, but this only prolongs the damage. We need to be brave enough to accept where we’re lacking—whether it’s in how we treat each other, the imbalance in societal expectations, or the suppression of feminine energy—and work toward improving it.

2. Addressing Gender Discrimination Early

The problem starts at childhood. Our biases and stereotypes take root early in life, and if children are taught or exposed to gender discrimination from a young age, those behaviors become normalized.

I remember my grandmother always asking me to set the table or serve food while my brother, lounging on the sofa, wasn’t asked to lift a finger. In contrast, my aunt made sure her son helped with household chores.

Or when a simple innocent joke can become an opportunity to target a woman’s character but the same joke by a man will be taken as something funny. These may seem like small actions, but they build up over time, leading to egotistical or entitled behavior. It starts with these everyday moments, and if we can correct the course from the beginning, we can raise more balanced individuals.

3. Allowing Men to Express Their Emotions

One of the most harmful norms society perpetuates is telling boys and men that they can’t express their emotions. From childhood, they are taught to “man up,” be tough, and suppress any vulnerability. Over time, this has led to significant issues with emotional health and mental well-being.

Boys, just like girls, need to learn how to express their emotions in healthy ways. When we deny them this outlet, as they grow, this lack of emotional expression leads many to feel they must handle their feelings independently. Consequently, boys start to exhibit anger and aggression, rather than sadness or hopelessness, which are more culturally acceptable as well. Breaking this toxic mold benefits not only men but society as a whole.

 4. Nurturing Feminine Energy from Childhood

Girls, too, are conditioned from an early age to suppress parts of themselves. They’re taught how to sit, how to speak (or not speak), what to wear, and how to behave “appropriately” as girls. Meanwhile, they watch their brothers do what they want, and the message becomes clear: being a boy comes with more freedom, while being a girl requires restraint. This, in turn, can lead to a resentment of their gender, their bodies, and their natural energy.

Many young women disconnect from their feminine energy, which manifests in deeper issues down the road. Conditions like PCOS, reproductive issues, and other health problems have been linked to stress and disconnection from feminine energy.

This disconnection isn’t just a personal issue but also reflects broader biases against women in leadership roles. For example, the concept of the “glass cliff,” discussed in Social Science Research, shows that women are often promoted to leadership positions during times of crisis or trouble. This risky situation makes it more likely that they’ll fail, which then reinforces negative stereotypes about women’s abilities to lead.

It’s upsetting to see how common this is. On top of this, gender bias in leadership, as discussed in the Journal of Organizational Behavior, shows that women leaders often face unfair evaluations and other barriers that make it harder for them to reach top positions. These biases contribute to fewer women being in high-level roles.

This isn’t just a problem for women—men and women alike suffer from these imbalances.

It’s Not Men vs. Women—It’s About Balance

Ultimately, this isn’t a battle between men and women. It never was. We were created to complement each other, to bring balance to one another’s lives and to the world. Feminine energy isn’t about overthrowing masculinity, just as masculine energy shouldn’t be about silencing the feminine. We need both energies to create a healthy, harmonious world.

“In the balance of masculine and feminine lies the true essence of humanity”
